Macclesfield the Sunniest place in the World
Macclesfield based company Leisure Sales has been producing tanning equipment since the early eighties and their first tanning company Ultrabronz grew to be one of the largest in the UK. Ultrabronz was acquired by a UK publicly quoted company in 1994.
Things have turned full circle again and now Leisure Sales are back in their original premises in Fence Avenue but now instead of producing sunbeds they manufacture sunless tanning equipment under the name of Classic Tan. The Classic Tan system is unique and the company is hopeful of a grant of a European patent soon. Sales are progressing well with distributors established in all of Scandinavia, most of Europe and Classic Tan machines are now travelling as far a field as South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia and would you believe Japan. Classic Tans managing director Terry Dinham said “We are seeing good progress in the former Soviet States with machines already working in Poland, Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria, We are in negotiations with a Hong Kong based company who would like to take distribution for South East Asia”.
It looks quite clear that Classic Tan has a very sunny future and is doing all it can to make Macclesfield the best place in the world to get a suntan.
